Euromech completes fit-out of new store for Land of Furniture.

Land of Furniture is one of Ireland’s leading furniture retailers, with a total of 6 branches nationwide. The latest addition to its network of stores being the Ashbourne Retail Park in Co Meath. Other tenants include 4Home Superstores, Renaissance Tiles & Bathrooms and Michael Briscoe Electrix.

Micheál Briody, Managing Director for Land of Furniture, contacted Euromech directly with a view to installing a mezzanine floor within the store’s showroom area.

It was vital that the mezzanine was not only functional, assisting customer traffic between the ground and first floor, but also aesthetic and in keeping with the overall design of the store.

The design of the main staircase was crucial in this respect and meets both criteria.

Euromech designed a triple-flight feature staircase at the entrance of the store leading up to the mezzanine level. Attractive glass-infill balustrades were installed within the handrail on the stairs as well as on the open sections of the mezzanine floor. The stair treads were supplied in white oak with a special hardwearing, slip resistant insert. All of which combine to make an extremely attractive and durable finish.

Total Floor Area of Mezzanine: 512 square metres
Height to Top of Mezzanine: 4 metres
